The Sweatshirt That Started It All
Lynnetee started with an old sweatshirt.
One late December night, Emily — a design student — was digging through her closet when she found a worn-out sweatshirt her mother had bought her back in high school. The fabric was faded, the colors dull, but as she slipped it on, it still felt warm, comforting — like home. That moment sparked an idea: “If a piece of clothing can hold emotion, why not create sweatshirts that carry stories and memories?”
She began sketching everyday moments — the alley where she grew up, the neighborhood cats, the old sign above the corner shop — and printed them onto sweatshirts using hand-printing techniques. At first, they were just gifts for friends. But word spread, compliments turned into orders, and slowly, a brand started to form.
She named it Lynnetee — a blend of “Lynne,” the artistic persona she created for herself, and “tee,” representing the canvas she used to tell her stories.
